WindBorne is looking for Business Operations Intern who will work closely with the Chief of Staff to support with all things related to the scaling of our business. We’re looking for a flexible generalist whose core competence is being on top of the details. Day-to-day, you will work closely business and operations team and support tasks such as drafting up strategy docs for future market expansion plans, or keeping the lights on in our offices (both figuratively and literally).

Responsibilities

  • Building new internal systems to improve the day-to-day operations of the business; including sales dashboards, invoice tracking, etc. 
  • Supporting development and relationships from current customers/contracts across commercial and humanitarian sector  
  • Conducting research to explore new market opportunities and prioritization of product developments 
  • Monitoring company cash flow and other finances, working closely with Chief of Staff and Chief Financial Officer 
  • Overseeing upgrades to our offices (e.g., specing out a mission control room) as well as general workspace management 
  • Supporting the Chief of Staff in handling inevitable unexpected tasks 

Skills and Qualifications

Required

  • Desire to get your hands dirty as an individual contributor
  • High level of proficiency with Google Suite (docs, slides, sheets, gmail, calendar)
  • Desire to operate in a fast-paced environment and make tradeoffs between quantity and quality of work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • 2-3+ years of experience in consulting
  • Business or engineering degree preferred
